Although I'm designing a poster and research in poster design is very helpful, I'm also looking into other areas that can inform many decisions. I'll look into things such as flyers, email promotions, magazine covers, websites and billboards.

Flyers

One thing I noticed straight away with flyer design and the ones above are just a selection, is that they don't stick to one font. I could play play around with this in my poster but so far I like the idea of having one consistent font across the poster. I feel like this is aesthetically more pleasing and subtle rather than shoving two or three fonts in the viewers face.

Websites

I chose Zavvi as the retailer I want to design for and who I will produce a poster for so I thought by looking at their website it will help me with choosing things like type, colour, layout, type size and many other things.
