OUGD503 Studio Brief 1 | Concept

The concept behind the design of my poster is that it represents how people view the issue of police brutality. Everyone knows that the issue is there because of the few cases that make the headlines either nation or world -wide, but nobody bothers to look at it any closer but if they did they would realise that there are a lot more cases and it is a lot bigger than they originally thought. 

When the viewer first sees the poster the intention is that the only bit of type that is legible is the word 'exists'. This will hopefully draw the viewer closer because they want to know what the poster is about or what it says. Once they are close enough, they will be able to read the full bit of type which reads 'police brutality exists'. 

I feel this is the basis of my concept and there are more ways I can go with it to really make it work. I will carry on experimenting with ideas until I am have an idea that works well with this concept.
