With this banknote, I decided to show how Musk is planning on advancing space travel with his company SpaceX. The design shows a simple, geometric diagram of our solar system in the forefront with decorative geometric circles in the background to further reflect space travel.
Below shows how the banknote has elements of deign that are primarily functional, but also add to the overall aesthetic. On the top right corner it shows a black bar with different shades of grey, the order of these colours and the CMYK colour codes along with the design on the bottom right, determines the authenticity of the banknote, along with where it was printed, the date it was printed, and which banks it has been at.
The design on the bottom right corner is always linked to the main design on the note. In this case, the geometrical diagram of the solar system has been used; this allows for further accuracy when identifying the note along with the black bars on the top right.
The '+' marks on the notes adjacent to the symbol and the grey bars are there in order for machines to be able to line up and scan the necessary points.
Below is the actual portrait that is displayed on the banknote. To keep a hint of tradition so that users would have some sort of familiarity, I used a halftone screen setting in order to illustrate the person featured. I also used dutone so that it fits with the rest of the colour scheme and sits well on the banknote rather than it sitting above the rest of the design and being overpowering.
