The feedback I received was pretty helpful and I am definitely going to change some aspects of my designs and maybe tweak my concept to fit the brief more.
I am happy with the majority of the feedback I received as it seems my concept was well received and others thought I communicated it well through the imagery and portraits used. In terms of whether or not it really is 'the future of money', I don't think it is either, so in that sense I agree with the person who said this. But I thought it would be interesting if I explored the chance that this may be our future, even if it does seem unlikely. The thought of having celebrities on bank notes rather than historical figures is a scary thought seeing how much celebrities are almost worshipped in today's society.
Someone also suggested that his would be a stronger concept and submission if I had more people as examples rather than just one or two as it looks like these people might just be in power or actually important. Whereas if I had a decent number of celebrities it would be clearer its all celebrities.
In terms of the design of my bank notes, some people thought they were too minimal and modern, and therefore wouldn't translate very well in real life and if they were to actually be used. I appreciate this feedback and will definitely take it into consideration but I really think a more simplistic design will be the future of banknotes. Maybe my designs take it a step past what they'll be like and lack a touch of traditional design but as this the future we are designing for, who knows.
