OUGD503 Studio Brief 1 | Development

I really want to make the most of the concept behind my poster and in order to do that I think the poster needs more rather than the tiny bit of type it already has.

Seeing as my concept covers how there are a lot more cases than of police brutality than people think this needs to be incorporated with the design of the poster.

After a bit of research I found that in the US, 1205 people were killed by the US law enforcement in 2015 alone. I then thought the best way of visually representing this is through a tally chart; this type of counting is often seen on jail cell walls in films and media, which keeps to the law enforcement topic.

I counted and drew up to 550 then doubled it on Illustrator.
