OUGD503 Studio Brief 2 | Typography

For the labels on the bottles we decided to keep using DIN for the titles and sub-headings, but for the body copy, we were going to use Garamond. The body copy will be used for the description of the product and the ingredients; we chose Garamond because there is a nice contrast between that and DIN. The contrast between the serif and the sans-serif works well as it has that balance of modern and traditional, something we wanted our product to seem, and this is now reflected through the branding. As the type will be rather small it is important to have the body copy easy to read and Garamond is a very legible font.

Alex was the one who put together the layout of the label and wrote the description. He made sure not to use any words or descriptive terms that may come across as masculine or feminine, rather use factual and to-the-point descriptive language.
