OUGD503 Studio Brief 2 | Poster & Print

As we wanted our product to be a high range beauty product, we thought that a great place to advertise would be in certain magazines that have a similar demographic as we are aiming towards.

Poster - Billboards, shop fronts, shop interiors, stands.

The above poster was created by myself. As a group we had previously discussed what the brand aesthetic was like and how it could be applied to other mediums, such as posters. I kept it very minimal to stay in line with our brand guidelines by just keeping the essential information on it. The slogan, which I aligned to the centre for optimal impact, was created as a way to let the consumers know our product is for neither men nor women, but for both, without having to explicitly say it.

The use of an off-white background was important because if this was printed in a high-gloss magazine, a stark, bright white would be off-putting to the reader. By using this cream colour, it is a lot more visually appealing and won't make the reader want to turn the page.

The above mock-up was put together by Aaron. This allows us to see whether the proportions of the type and layout are correct, which it seems they are.
